The Compressor House now open to the public
Development Securities have opened a marketing suite at the Compressor House situated opposite it's planned £500m Royals Business Park. The suite will be open to the public Monday - Friday, between 9am - 5pm and will showcase the companies exciting plans for the site, situated between the Royal Albert and Beckton Park DLR stations.
When completed the Royals Business Park will consist of some 1.6m sq. ft (146,640 sq. m) of offices, together with 100,000 sq. ft (9,290sq m) of retail and leisure uses.
The first phase consists of two landmark glass and steel buildings on five storeys totalling 227,000 sq. ft (22,000 sq m) with 324 car parking spaces (mainly underground) representing a ratio of about 1 per 730 sq. ft. The buildings, designed by world class architects Aukett Europe, are linked by a spectacular winter garden.
The Royals will be the largest urban business park development in Greater London, Development Securities were appointed by the London Development Agency, to develop the 50-acre site with its mile of water frontage on Royal Albert Dock.
Development Securities director Chris Read who is heading the project on behalf of the company said: The Royals Business Park will make a significant contribution to the regeneration of the former docks and benefit the local community. We are already receiving interest from financial services and other companies presently located in or close to the City whose principal motivation in moving is cost advantage. These companies are attracted by the proximity of London City Airport the excellent car parking provision and, with two DLR stations at the site, the ease of access."
